The House Rules...

Rob & Tom welcome you to our home in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.  To make your stay more enjoyable, we would like you to take a minute and read the following information:

First, have fun, relax and enjoy yourselves.

To operate shower: Turn water on, and then pull down chrome ring on waterspout.

To operate TV: Locate the remote control labeled “Uniden DSS”, then point towards TV and press the following buttons: “TV” and “POWER”; “DSS” & “POWER”; the TV, Dish, will now be on.  You may now use the remote to change channels and operate volume.  (NOTE:  TV must remain on channel 3 in order for satellite system to operate.)   Also, we do not ALLOW “PAY PER VIEW” MOVIES, so please DO NOT ORDER “PAY PER VIEW”!

To turn light on above pool table: There is a switch mounted to the top center of the light on the backside. (Please, put balls, racks and cues on the wall rack and recover the pool table when you leave)

Be sure all sheets and towels are washed prior to leaving! To operate washing machine: Put clothes and detergent in, close lid and press desired wash cycle.  (NOTE:  If you press the button for the desired cycle first and then load the clothes, you will need to press “Pause/Resume” before the machine will continue the washing cycle.)

When leaving:

Clean bedrooms/bathrooms.

Vacuum/mop floors.

Clean kitchen.

Close all windows and blinds by turning blind slats upwards.

Run dishwasher.

Throw away any perishable foods in refrigerator, and replace any items used from pantry/refrigerator.

Remove all trash and replace bag in the trash compactor (located under flap in door of the compactor).

Close fireplace flue and replace firewood (located outdoors).

If you used the ATVs (4-wheelers), fill the gas tanks, clean up the vehicles and please, replace the gas that you used for the next guests.

In the winter, set the heat thermostat to 50 degrees; in the summer, set the A/C to 82 degrees.

Be sure to sign the guest book!

Turn off all lights.

To set alarm when leaving: Make sure all doors are locked (except basement doors to garage); go to keypad at front door and press the security code and then press “ON”; you will need to depart through the front door.

When locking the gate, be sure to only lock the two padlocks to each other—NOT the padlock to chain.
